I have just purchased a new thinkpad W520 and am tring your software. When trying to record the final output as a file to an external hard drive the audio comes out choppy but the video looks ok. The video sounds good as it plays in vmix but the audio of the recorded file it saves isn't good.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi,

Are you using the vMix Virtual Audio Capture as the audio source in the recording setup?
If so are able to upload a small video sample of around 10 seconds or so to demonstrate the issue?

Thanks,

Martin

Thanks for your reply. I do have the virtual audio capture as the audio source selected. I have tried different clips and even a audio file only with the same results.
How do you upload a file? I don't see a attachment icon. Can I put it on this board or do I need to email it to you.

Thanks for your help, I would like to try this software out at a graduation in about 6 days from now and would like to see how well it will perform.

I have identified a bug in how the vMix Virtual Audio Capture handles certain audio formats.
This will be fixed in the final v3 version which is due for release soon.

As a workaround in the meantime you can try the following:

1. Go to the Windows 7 Control Panel and click Hardware and Sound
2. Click Sound
3. Highlight the Playback item with the green tick and click Properties
4. Under the Advanced tab change the default format to 2 Channel 16 Bit 48000 hz (instead of 44100 hz)
5. Click OK.

Thanks,

Martin

Thanks for your reply. This month has been very busy and I haven't had time to get back with you. I had found this solution on another part of this forum. I fixed it with the speakers but ran into the same problem when I attached a headset. I had to set the same setting for the headset. So for anyone with this issue they need to make this change for the speakers and the headset plug.

Hi Greg,

The issue was fixed in the latest release, so I suggest you download that as well

We are getting and aduio stutter within VMIX, but not as exported clips or the source replay recordings. Version 16.0.0.106x64

I would upload a exported clip, but there is no point because that's fine!
