Best advice is to "play" with the 'PlayList' feature and become familiar with its operation.

Essentially, the process is this:
Click the cog wheel of the Playlist button
Select the "Inputs" you want
Double click the selected "Input" to set up the parameters such as duration and transition etc.
Tick the appropriate boxes for your particular scenario
And you are pretty much ready to "Start" your playlist.
You can "Stop" or interrupt your Playlist manually at any time.
