Hello!
We've decided to try and make semi-regular live videos to talk about vMix and answer questions. We happen to be available in October and thought we would do another video! This will be during the morning for Europe at a reasonable time, so you won't have to get up too early. It works out to be 9am London time. Here is a list of locations and times that it will be on. Think of some questions and we'll have a question and answer time at the end. The show will be on Monday October 5th, 9am London time. It will be live streamed from our Youtube channel. youtube.com/vmixhdIf you're unable to watch the show live, then the video will be on our channel afterwards for a few weeks or so.
Now I'm off to buy some more awesome sound effects!

A week to go until the October edition of the vMix Fun Time Live Show. Hope you have some questions for us.
We'll be covering what we've been up to in the last month and talk about some new capture cards and products we've been testing.
If you have any requests for Sound Effects, please leave a comment here!

Don't forget that the show will be up on Youtube so you can watch it at your leisure at a later time if you're in the US.

Now I'm off to buy some more awesome sound effects! Oh to be in England now that Monday is here ! Well it will be 4AM here, but I can watch the archive on YouTube. I am hoping to hear some mention of; 1. Multiple "search" words in vMix Social for Twitter 2. Technique for correcting time in Scoreboard title
I don't think they currently exist but it would make my life much simpler.
Thanks, I am looking forward to the show regardless
Whit

Unfortunately the show can not be seen live here in Germany because of "legal problems with youtube live-streaming". Good luck with the show, waiting for upload of the recorded version later on.
Regards

I enjoyed last night's show. Although I am east coast USA, I happened to be up at 4a.m. so caught it live. I appreciate your showing the equipment flow, but you didn't mention what you were using for audio.
The video was very good most of the time, but the audio had quite a bit of noise, and seemed to have a high gate threshold.
Any insights into what you used, and what you would change for next time are appreciated.

Cool! Looking forward to see the rest of the liveshow as ondemand :)
But what are causing the video to drop frames (or at least something is happening) at 8:48, 11:00, 13:49 and 14:20?

I've had a look at our master 1080p recordings and everything is fine but something seems amiss on the YouTube recording. We did try the new GPU encoding for the first time with the stream, maybe that had some issues encoding some frames, or maybe YouTube's own transcoder is doing something strange.

Watching it live a few times I had the effect of a fast forward happening. I thought it was my dodgy internet and the stream catching up . That said I can not remember somethig similar during a YT feed where it normally would just play with a delay instead of live in case of dodgy connection , it also didn't revert to a lower quality in this case . Could this be related ?

We did try the new GPU encoding for the first time with the stream, maybe that had some issues encoding some frames, or maybe YouTube's own transcoder is doing something strange. Youtube live has been perfect since it's launch for me, but in the past little while, about the time they introduced the "Beta" instant live stuff. I've had problems with it missing parts of the video. Not sure why really my Internet remains unchanged and is going awesome on speed tests. I also stream to my own server and it's been perfect. It's not been bad enough to where I can always repeat the action and I wouldn't be sure of how to contact the Youtube complaints department or if they would take me seriously or just blame my encoder or Internet. I've been very happy with Youtube live, especially the price and well not having to upload your video to Youtube anyway after the event, but just lately I've been seeing more glitches. I don't believe it's Vmix if that's any help. It's annoying as who doesn't like all that free bandwidth they supply and of course I give live with the "extreme" music detection, that is well very aggressive that it even picks up the smallest amount of music (even a ringtone) that can get in earshot of a Mic. Not so much a helpful post except to confirm I've been seeing youtube live act unpredictably of late. Usually seeing the status as green for the entire event, but missing frames of video. I hope it goes back to normal soon :)

Now I'm off to buy some more awesome sound effects! Be careful with YT Content ID protection :) Hi I checked YT live since they have a BETA Version. Result, if you stream only audio music like David Guetta and other hits yt doesn't break the stream. Before beta yt had made immediate a break. Regards Patrick
