NOTE: No support can be provided for the following configuration change. It is designed for advanced users who want to try new
codecs with vMix.

Edit the following section of the vMix2012.exe.config file in the vMix installation directory:

<setting name="SupportedCodecs" serializeAs="Xml">
<value>
<ArrayOfString xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
<string>*CineForm*Codec*</string>
<string>DV *</string>
<string>*JPEG*</string>
<string>Xvid*</string>
<string>Blackmagic*</string>
<string>MotionWavelets*</string>
<string>Lagarith*</string>
<string>Huff*</string>
<string>VP6*</string>
<string>DivX*</string>
</ArrayOfString>
</value>
</setting>

Replace this section with the following to allow all codecs:

<setting name="SupportedCodecs" serializeAs="Xml">
<value>
<ArrayOfString xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
<string>*</string>
</ArrayOfString>
</value>
</setting>

ps: UT video codec suite is working like a charm. im trying at the moment the best configurations with VFW X264. seems it require a good cpu to avoid droped frames.
