I recently started to get the "Recording Stopped Unexpectedly" codec error after 12 seconds while rendering to MP4. If I switch tp MPEG or AVI it works but my file sizes are huge, and the quality is not as good. I have used the Audio Help in the forums on here to set up the audio, I'm using 2-Diamond VC500 USB 2.0 capture devices, which all was well until recently. Any ideas??

Machine Spec:

AMD X2 5200+ CPU 2.8ghz
6gb DDR2 Memory
Nvidia 9500GT VGA Card
Realtek Onboard HD Sound (using Line In for adding inputs)although set to vMix Virtual Device in Settings as Instructed in Audio Help File
Windows 7 Home Premium

PS: It's for our Church, and I have had to have audio only messages for the past few weeks, so it would be great to get video back...lol

Hi,

How are you recording to MP4? Normally, the only available options in vMix are AVI, MPEG-2 or WMV.

Hi,

Could you provide all the WMV settings you have selected when setting up the recording.
Better yet, click "Send Error Report" when the recording error appears.

Regards,

Martin
