Hi All, Just wanted to let you know we used Vmix 16 for our LIVE Battle of Britain broadcast last week. Watch the broadcast and behind the scenes footage of how we did it here We used a Sat Truck to give us the broadband and ended up going out using 4G.

Jolly good work guys!
I've got a ton of questions, from cameras to communication methods, but suffice it to say, I am curious to know what the approximate budget and crew for the project was, and what impact vMix had on your ability to "pull it off"?
It appears that all the switching was done with the mouse (although it's hard to tell from the video). I might have preferred a 3rd camera (budget permitting) and/or slightly better angles on the 'interviews', but that can quickly complicate things for everyone, not the least of which are the Director and TD/Switcher with limited resources and no 'tactile' control surface in the Control Room (looks like back of a van).
Overall though, it appears to have gone well and I trust the feedback has been good, I enjoyed watching the BTS to the end (ends rather abruptly, but I assume the broadcast had nothing more to add from a behind the scenes perspective). I look forward to learning more about your set-up and challenges you faced.
Keep up the good work.
Ice

Hi Ice,
It was a charity job and there was no budget....lol
The van was a mobile satellite truck which is fully set up with its own camera switching kit but as it was last minute we did it all through vmix.
The switching was all mouse based. I was going to use shortcuts on the ipad but ran out of time.
We had no budget for a third camera and also my MAC was struggling (hence jittering in the TX) with two cameras and recording to external drive.
The gopro ran out before the end of the TX which is why it ended suddenly.

I just cancelled my subscription to Netflix. This documentary makes everything they offer rather pale in comparison.
Thank you videoworks for an excellent behind the scenes view! I got hooked and watched much longer than I thought I would, although I still have to take in the last part.
