Hy there!
Since I updated vMix to Version 16 my Shortcut Triggers aren't working any more.
I have a game clock and 4 additional penalty clocks which are used as an overlay if needed. Up until Version 15 the "StartCountdown" and "Pausecountdown" was used to Start/Pause the regular game clock. The Penalty Clocks obviously each had an extra Start/Pause Shortcut which has been triggered by the regular clock. Anyone else got the problem, that the triggers aren't working in Version 16?
I hope I was able to describe my problem so that you're able to understand that...
Thanks in advance
Fenki

@ fenki86
I cannot confirm 100% as I am not sure how many 'alterations' I have made over the course of the summer, but when I just tested with some of my "pre-sets" it would seem many of my 'Settings' in "Shortcuts" are also a little wonky with regards to clocks and timers (i.e. wrong function and/or targeting the wrong field in the 'TitleEditor' for "PauseCountdown). Again, not sure if this is related to upgrade to vMix 16, but it would be best to go through all your 'Shortcut' settings thoroughly to get them up and running properly again (pain in the ass, but everything seems to work fine once set-up properly). Which leads me to a Feature request I am about to make, it would be nice to have a shortcut to "Shortcuts"...

Thanks Ice!
I already tried that one and checked all the shortcuts. Should be working as they all appear to be fine. Unfortunately it does noch trigger the other shortcuts. The problem doesn't occur only on the timer but also on other Shortcuts... :-(

@ fenki86
For me the additional 4 penalty clocks are set-up to "Trigger" down, that is, each new penalty shortcut key triggers the 'PauseCountdown' of the previous clock including the game clock, that way, depending on the situation, it's always a single key press to start all the required timers, it can get tricky if there is a fifth penalty but since that is quite rare I don't worry about it too much. I try to only show one penalty clock at a time and merely change the 'Sub-Title' (Powerplay/4on4/5on3 etc.) This will be the main reason for my next feature request since it was previously very convenient to right click the appropriate 'MultiView' input to get to the 'Title Editor' to make that change or even reset a penalty clock. Currently, in vMix 16 that is not possible and will complicate clock management even further. I hope you get to the root of your problem, I still think it's possibly related to the increased menu options in vMix 16 that may have "re-arranged" the 'Functions' and 'Title' targets of your "Shortcuts", at least that is what I noticed in my settings and I don't remember making changes to my "Shortcuts" even though it's not outside the realm of possibility that I did, the changes that I had to make don't seem to fit a profile I would have used.

Hi,
To avoid confusion, very little has changed in the underlying shortcuts code in vMix 15 vs 16. We have improved the interface but this shouldn't affect importing shortcuts between versions at all and a lot of testing was done to make sure the import occurs correctly.
So, what I need is a detailed description of the shortcut you have setup and what happens when you press the key.
Thanks,
Martin vMix

thanks for the reply Martin! I'm going to send you the exact shortcut-setup and attach some pictures so that you have some better insight. info@vmix.com is the right mail-adress for that?

@ fenki86
How are you 'Selecting' your shortcuts, key press, API or Web Controller interface?
@ admin
I can confirm that "Advanced" triggers are NOT working for me with the Web Controller interface in vMix 16.0.0.75 (but work fine with a key press)

that might be the problem... I placed the triggers on some keys a rarely use on my keyboard or some which aren't even on there (f.e. F13-F24).
I then control the Scoreboard on a tablet via the web interface...

thanks for the hint ice!
I tried it now and can report the following:
The Shortcut triggers if I press it on the keyboard (f.e. NumPad 9). However, if I press the button on the web-interface the shortcut is working, but it does not trigger a second one.
So it has to be a problem with the web interface.

Yes, this is definitely an issue that the Web Controller shortcuts do not 'Trigger' like they did in previous versions.

Not to be a pain in the A**, but I am wondering if this is considered a legitimate "BUG" or if is no longer possible to 'Trigger' advanced shortcuts from the "Web Controller"?

I've been experimenting with the "Novation Launchpad" Midi controller (great fun) and also noticed that "Advanced Shortcuts" do NOT work here either.

Hy Martin!
Just wanted to ask if there's new information whether this is a bug or a planned thing in the new version?
Thanks

By the way the best way to do multiple things with MIDI is to create multiple shortcuts for the same button or control, they will then all be called in the order they appear in the shortcuts list.

Martin, is it possible to induce delays in the sequence? i.e. Press Shortcut button, cut Cam 1 triggered, wait 3 sec, overlay 1 triaged....
If it is currently possible can you point to the method? Regards, Andrew
