I see on the Teradek Streamreader page that it is compatible with vMix already (wi-fi and no need for plugin).

Can you (community or Martin :) ) please point me to more info about that? How is to be used that ability ?

I beleive Martin should provide the official answer. But I guess he is pretty busy at IBC, so for those who need a temporary comment - here is mine.

vMix can already read feeds from Teradek's Cube encoders using the Stream Input (many of us do that). The link Clement points to explains that you need a plugin to be able to do that on Wirecast and Tricaster.

I don't think "encoders" like the Teradek Vidiu can be read, as they use RTMP (for vMix this would be a useful feature that has been addressed elsewhere in the Forum). It is unclear if the Stream Reader plugin can handle RTMP, at least I know it did not a year ago.

My hope is that the following feature announced for v16 has something to do with that and we'll be able to receive Vidiu's Live feed :)

StreamReader is strictly for Cube and Sputnik, and the Stream Input in vMix has the same requirements.
We have asked Teradek about adding support for the new Vidiu Pro, but so far the Vidiu products are only designed for direct streaming to CDNs.

In a way, Vidiu can be read trough WiFi ( see their Live:Air application )

It is a pitty that this is not an open protocol so we can use it in vMix, too. I understand this is Teradek choice.
