I have been configuring shortcuts (and enjoying applying them to a Korg NanoKontroller2)
Is it possible to change the position and/or size of the PIP for Overlay1? It would be great to easily change the position of the PIP into any one of the 4 corners, depending on the content of the background active window.
Thanks

@AlanZ
AFAIK, there is no shortcut function that will do this "automatically". My workaround would be to set up multiple 'MultiView' inputs to accommodate your needs

Thanks, but I am trying to keep it simple (and inexpensive), within the limits of the basic HD license (3 cameras, 4 inputs).
So popping any one of the cameras into the PIP area is very handy, but sometimes the static configuration of the PIP position and size is not optimum relative to the larger image.
If it's not currently doable, perhaps it can be added as a wishlist item. Or... perhaps have an additional license level that allows for a few more inputs (perhaps still limiting to three cameras). That would be incredibly useful.

I am not overly familiar with the "restrictions" of vMix Basic HD, correct me if I am wrong but I would think that the 'settings' of the PiP overlay channel are still manually adjustable which you could probably do on the fly, not convenient but do-able if possible ('OverLay' button at bottom right of GUI). Although perfectly plausible that the PiP feature is restrictively 'static' (as on some tvs) it doesn't seem right that it wouldn't allow for any adjustments.

Yes, this is all manually adjustable, but the point of shortcut keys is to remove the manual UI steps. This is particularly useful when trying to maintain consistency, especially when the operator should be applying, not adjusting presets.

The restrictions are three cameras in a total of four inputs. So that doesn't leave room for several multiview input variants, hence the reason for attempting to do this with overlay positioning for simple PiP functionality.

Completely understood. In your case, I would experiment with "SetZoom", "SetPanX" and "SetPanY" functions in 'Shortcuts' (and 'Advanced' options to trigger multiple shortcuts at once). It might be tricky to set up all the parameters you'll need, but it should be possible. (you'll be adjusting the actual input and not the overlay channel so you'll have to have multiple options to "reset", I would use "Preview" input as source for "Setxyz" functions to reduce complexities, but I am sure you can figure out what will work best for you).
