I am guessing that the first line of text should read vMix 16, not 15

Hi, ..I just updated to vMix 16, and I am not getting any recorded audio....I can see the audio meters as I speak, but I get nothing on the recording, and when I bring it back into vMix to play, no audio meter is seen, for that input.......I have checked all my settings, and i do not see a reason for this as yet....please help.....All i did was to install v. 16
It sems that only Mpeg-2 is not giving me audio, even though I have Media center installed....I was working with v:15 and it worked well...I thought that this would have been fixed in v:16

Thanks AlanZ, the typo has been fixed. For those wondering about the Akai Midi controllers, we have just received the APC40 MK2 for testing and it works great! One unique feature with this controller is a number of the buttons work as toggles so pressing the S button on one of the channels will turn on the light and send a "NoteOn" command. Pressing the button again will send a "NoteOff" command, thus you can configure the first as SoloOn and the second as SoloOff in shortcuts and have the buttons light up automatically! It also has a left to right A-B fader which can easily be used as a T-Bar by assigning it to SetFader in vMix. http://www.akaipro.com/product/apc40-mkiiOne important thing to keep in mind with MIDI devices is only one program can use them at a time. So make sure all other MIDI related programs are closed, including monitor utilities etc.

It needs to be programmed from scratch at the moment, but I am working on a template for it.

I just updated to 16 and for some reason now I'm getting feedback from the audio when I plug into the system the same way I always have. Also I'm not able to see my audio input device when I try to add the plugged in audio source. Please advise as to what has changed or how to fix this as I can't use the software to do my live broadcast? Thanks

Hi Martin,
discovered the following behaviour/bug in instant replay: If I right click an event and choose delete, the event disapears after clicking YES on the upcoming window. But: it also disappears when I click NO 😉

Feedback is quite simply caused by an open microphone picking up its own input from speakers in your environment. So could be as simple as the volume of your control room speakers. As for the device not being visible, what other changes have you made? O/S upgrade?

hi Martin, using and testing vmix 16.0.0.68 x64 latest with desktop capture 14.0.0.2 I get a cropped desktop capture image after saving and opening a preset.
all settings are ok and when i delete and re-capture the desktop capture all is well.
seems like some kind of typo in the preset file...
greetings, stefan
ps desktop capture size is 4 by 3: 1024 by 768 the cropped image is on the input after reopening the preset.

Hello Martin, since streaming with vMix 16 and ffmpeg I very often get messages like "Past duration 0.999992 too large" in streaming status window. I can not see problems with streaming output but log is full with this. Google brings me to this for example. But Iam not sure after reading the linked page if it can cause trouble or if I can ignore it. Regards, Andreas.

Martin vMix Hi Martin, I am seeing this also. Looking at the logs it appears to have started with the update to 16. (BTW thank you sooo much for the EQ!) I am emailing logs. Thanks, Jim

I could reproduce the same behaviour on another PC with a similar configuration. I sent you the streaming log.
Regards, Andreas.

Thanks, I have done some research and it looks like it was added to FFMPEG recently, but isn't anything to worry about. It's the time difference between input and output with 0.9 being under a second, so nothing to worry about as far as streaming goes and I will remove the message in the next update.

I'm having problems with the List feature stalling out and not playing the next item automatically.
I'm using Windows 10. I've not had any issues with the List feature on vMix 16 under Windows 8.1 running on a different machine.

That is why I would wait til Win 10 is fully patched and stable before I would ever put it on any of my PCs.....I will run Win8 till it is now longer needed...I never run behind windows releases...the always break things, then patch and patch till all is well.....

Beloved,
Please create a separate thread for any issues that are Windows 10 specific. Or use the existing Windows 10 discussion thread.
Thanks,
Martin vMix
