To announce vMix 16 to the world, we have decided to have our very first vMix LIVE SHOW!
This show will be a very informal live stream to look at vMix 16 and its new features. It will include Martin and the vMix band! Well not so much a band, but me playing sounds on my phone! There will be a Q and A session at the end of the show, so if you have questions about vMix 16 don't forget to tune in.
The whole show will be hosted on our Twitch channel. We thought it would be an appropriate place as you can now stream directly there from vMix 16. Unfortunately as we're in Australia NO timezones suit us! We had to pick a time zone by flipping a coin. So we will be doing the live show on Monday 31st August at 9pm Eastern US time. This means it will be 11am Australian time on the 1st of September and 2am in London! There isn't much we can do about the time unfortunately. Maybe next time it will be more Euro-friendly. It's also our first live show, so if things don't go so well, low viewership might not be so bad!
Our Twitch Channel is twitch.tv/vmixhd. There will be a chat area where you can ask questions about vMix or what music we're playing. We'll use those questions in the Q and A session at the end. If there aren't any questions, then I have an amazing list of my own such as 'What is your favourite Sandra Bullock movie?' to ask Martin. There also may or may not be a giveaway, but if you follow us on Twitter, you'd already know that!
Hopefully we'll see some of you there! We apologise in advance for the informal nature of the show and the poor attempts at humour.
Remember to follow us on Twitter for all the latest news and giveaways!

For those of us working, in transit or asleep, where will we find an archive of the show? :-)

I would say that the video may be up on our YouTube channel after the fact. It really depends on how it turns out! This is our first foray into doing a live show about a vMix release and I'm not a professional interviewer or show host so it could be interesting.

For those intrested in knowing when the show will be broadcast in your location - Here is a direct link to timeanddate.com with the information already set-up for you. On another note, is it possible to be part of the studio audience!

Thanks for the timezone information. My suggestion to have 2 shows (with a 2nd in Euro time zones) has been curtailed unfortuntely.
As for the live studio audience, unfortunately that won't be possible. We would hate to ruin the illusion!

Tried to catch the show 'Live', however, I was at a public venue with fairly slow wifi and as it turns out, my Android tablet is not currently compatible with Twitch. Caught some of it on my iPhone, but because of such poor internet service, I could only get a couple of seconds of broadcast every few minutes, even 'audio only' option had to buffer frequently. In any event, I managed to listen in to a good portion of the last third of the broadcast and from what I could tell, the inaugural show went pretty well, congrats guys! I look forward to future shows and will check out the "NEW" website for sure. [www.vmix.com]
All the best guys!

Enjoyed the show tonight. As live broadcasters, Martin & Tim should join me... and not quit their day jobs! Lol.
Lots of great info. Can't wait to try 16 this week.
Love to see this broadcast become a regular feature. Good work, guys!

Thanks everybody for joining us this morning/evening wherever you were. We appreciated all of the questions! This was our very first foray into live shows, so next time there will hopefully be less Umms, Ahhs and Soooooos. We'll do our best to fine tune things. In case you missed the highlights, we discussed- vMix 16 MIDI Controls ASIO support New Website New domain name.... vmix.com!It's pretty exciting for us to have the domain name!!! If you haven't already, head over to vmix.com and check it out.

If you want to watch the Fun Time Live Show in all its glory, here it is! Please note that this is a very informal look at vMix16, it's our first ever live show AND we like to use Umm, Ahhh, Soooo and Yeahhh a lot! Also, the Twitter competition is over so you don't need to tweet BROWN HORSE to me any more! :)

Yes very good first show, I did watch it live at 2am in the morning here in London but I could not ask any questions as I don't and won't use facebook and I couldn't enter the Twitter competition as I don't and won't use twitter.
So well done all, Oh and I love the new website.

Just watched the show! Great first show!
I'm looking forward to seeing more of The Cool Dude Martin and that other guy Mark!
Thanks guys for a great product!
The latency on the comedy finally got in sync near the end!
Just bought my Novation Launch Control XL! I'm looking forward to using it with the templates inside of vMix 16!
Novation Launch Control XL Class-compliant MIDI Control Surface with 24 Knobs, 8 x 60mm Faders, 16 Soft Buttons, Ableton Live Control Layout, and Bundled Software - Mac/Windows/iOS
Designed for Ableton Live, but powerful enough for virtually any electronic music software, the Novation Launch Control XL puts eight channels of hands-on control at your fingertips. Three ranks of knobs offer instant access to sends, panning, and more, whereas eight 60mm faders let you smoothly tweak track volume or other continuous parameters. The Launch Control XL also gives you 16 multicolor buttons for functions such as mute, solo, record arm, or even clip launching, and when you combine your Launch Control XL with a Launchpad, you get a totally immersive Ableton Live experience like nothing else.
Oh and thanks Tim!

@ Tim and Martin
Once again guys, congrats on your first show, it will only get better (and more comfortable) the more you do it! I watched the entire show on YouTube this time (thanks for posting), some of the best parts were when you guys were just being yourselves (nothing forced or over scripted) like when dealing with 'live questions', good stuff that. If you guys are looking at ways of improving the overall presentation I would look at how the guys at Scale Engine do it, I really like how it comes together for them and your show reminded me right away of their set-up, so you are almost there.
The one question I have is about the 'flashing' overlay for the Twitter contest. Although there are probably a few different ways to do this, I was wondering how you guys did it? Script? Triggers? Video? Or maybe there is a setting I don't know about, can you fill me in?
