Martin, As you have explained Excel can only export ANSI, which may cause troubles for special/international characters. You suggest the solution to open the exported file in Notepad and export it as UTF-8.
Would it not be possible for vMix to do the conversion? Ideally with a "Convert ANSI characters" option for the Title Input". That is, not only for imports, but also for API (in which case it would work ffor SmartTitler and similar apps).
Thanks.

Great idea, Richard. That would be extremely helpful, I totally support your suggestion. We always try to do a lot of automization in our sports productions e.g. importing game sheets from league servers or live-standings and results from different internet sources. Usually import is done via Excel and API. There is always trouble with special characters and sometimes the final check before going live failed due to time pressure. So it might be a big help to have an internal conversion inside vMix to avoid bad surprises on the giant stadium screens.
Regards Karsten
