I would love to be able to build multiview assets via the API. I suspect I could do something similar using the virtual studio presets, but would like to be able to control the multiview layers via the API. For example, say I have a Green Screen foreground on Input 4, an even more forward element on Input 5, and a background on input 1. I would like to 1) be able to construct these elements via the API and then be able to control them via the API. We have a camera shake I would like to be able to apply to each layer so we can fake parallax, etc. Thoughts?

@ gripreality
A very interesting request, can you elaborate as to how and why you need to 'construct' via the API? Also, can you present and describe a scenario where you see this feature being applied and how or what you would 'control' with the API? I'm having a little difficulty understanding exactly what your vision is.

I have found that the virtual studio setup works for me to establish the assets but I would like to be able to manipulate the individual layers via the API. We are developing a timeline type tool so we can animate layers. For example, we would like to be able to key-frame layer positions via our system and feed them in via the API. Let me know if this makes sense.

In addition, the ability to load a video layer that has an animated UVMap for the virtual set would be great. For example if the screens layer could be *.mov and let us play video back on a dynamic lay would be awesome.

@gripreality I am not sure that I understand what you want to do.
But you can add Inputs using the AddInput shortcut, remove using RemoveInput, and change images in Inputs using the SetImage shortcut. Then using shortcut SetMultiViewOverlay will allow you to specify which Input should be on which MultiView layer.
Version 16 will also have API support for selecting Input by Name, thus making it easier to address Inputs as you Add and Remove them.

I want to be able to construct "preset" compositions of inputs and build them via an API call. Much like the Virtual Studio assets but a more simple element that does not have the camera queuing attached to it.
