Hi!

I recently started using Vmix for game streaming and I have a small issue with the audio mixer settings.

I'm using Yamaha MG102c audio mixer with couple of headsets and I like to hear everything that's been said into the mics so I have a small mic loop set up in the Yamaha mixer, but now with Vmix I get a second mic audio loop from the main broadcast window. I didn't find any of muting the mixer audio source (Microphone in Windows) in Vmix without it muting my mic audio in the stream as well.

I like the mixer loop better because it's instant but in Vmix there's a slight delay and it screws with my head. Any ideas how I could put the mic sound from the mixer to my stream without me hearing myself twice over the game audio?

Just to clarify: I can't put the game capture audio as SOLO because if I'm Skyping with someone and I want them to join in in the commentary I would have to disable the SOLO setting from the Vmix Audio Mixer

Thanks!

You need to setup a Mix Minus. Please do a search on this forum for those words and if you are still in trouble come back here and ask. Have fun!

I checked what Mix Minus is and that's now what I'm really after.

What I'm after is that that when I'm broadcasting with Vmix the software forces me to hear my microphone audio again during streaming and I'm trying to find out how I can get Vmix to not force me to listen to myself again while I'm streaming. It's not a mixer issue (at least I don't think so) it's a software issue.

Game sound from my capture card -> for me and the audience
Microphone in to my PC --> just for the audience because I already hear it through my mixer.

And This is what I have issues with. I can't find how I can mute the microphone channel for myself without muting it for the stream audience as well

@ Badger

Audio routing can be confusing at the best of times, I think your best option in this case is to send all your audio to your Mixer first and 'self' monitor directly from the Mixer (this might mean 'miking' the game audio separately for the benefit of the announcers).
It's not really a "software issue" in the sense that it's a bug of some sort, the digital processing inherently adds a delay that is virtually impossible for announcers to effectively talk through.
You will have to have someone monitoring the stream or computer feed (at least occasionally) to insure all the levels are ok, but you are best to keep the 'live' and 'digital delay' separate whenever possible.
Bringing 'Skype' into the fray adds a whole new dimension of complexity and you will need the 'Mix Minus' for that.
