If there was a way to arrange inputs via the API or SetNumber (the input number that is) of a given input that would be much appreciated.

Ie. Say I know the GUID of an input and want to move it to the first spot on the board, sending a call like http://localhost:8088/api/?Function=SetNumber&Value=1&Input="bee8a70a-3844-423f-9de2-54848f6fc995" where value is the input number and Input is the asset.

Second, a way to Import CSV files and m3u files into existing inputs would be of great help as well. For example I could see the call be something like http://localhost:8088/api/?Function=ImportPreset&Value="c:/test.csv"&Input="bee8a70a-3844-423f-9de2-54848f6fc995" where the value is the desired csv or m3u and Input is the desired destination layer.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the suggestions. In vMix 16 there will be a MoveInput shortcut to change the number position of an input.

That is great news... any chance we can import presents like my other request by chance? Or maybe be able to store data in a sqlite DB so we can dynamically update the presets?

I see that there is a way to import presets in vmix itself, but I would like to be able to automate the import process via the API. For example, we run nine (9) different programs a day from our webTV studio and would like to be able to autoload presets without having to load new *.vmix files. I find that when loading new *.vmix files I have to cut our external output and stream and would like to continue non-stop for the day. Thoughts?

@gripreality,

Is the feature request for Export/Import individual inputs somehing close to what you ask for?

ps I believe "bump" is a more common term than "ping" in forums, and that they are seldom appreciated.
Better to add a reply that provides more cause/reason/motivation for the issue at hand.

thanks.

I think I can rectify my request using virtual studio assets. Thanks!
