I order and installed an 4x HDMI card and the camera input says analog inputs???? I also am not very happy with the quality of the inputs they are new hd cameras and the do not look any better then my old standard cameras. I do understand we are filming in a darker environment which will give me some grainy video but I feel it should be better then this even the cheap usb camera looks better... any Ideas??? I have videos up on our YouTube channel under (RedEye Rhino) Dart Tournaments

Weird that it registers as 'analog' inputs...
What cameras are they and is there a setting for output to HDMI on them?
What are your vMix settings?
And what is your overall set-up?

They are new canon hfr600 cameras and they are outputting 1080i in vmix it shows analog inputs

I honestly have no experience with this card, although a little research shows that RJ and Richard do as evidenced by a thread on another board, perhaps they can chime in with their experience. The thread indicates that the card had issues @ 1080i and may have been fixed for that product with a special driver release.

I'm not sure if vMix is affected the same way or if that driver will have any effect, but it just seems to me that there should be a way to verify that the input signal is properly processed and output appropriately to vMix.

What were your previous cameras?
What were/are your vMix settings?

I have this card and yes it does show analog inputs but it does give you full 1920x1080, that's if you have your cameras set to full HD.

I use a JVC GY-HM100 and a Sony CX240E cameras both set to 1920x1080 and I get grainy video if I don't have my lights on but when using my lights the picture is perfect.

One thing you should do when inserting a camera is to make sure you have set the resolution to 1920x1080.

I do believe it is a light problem....I need to find cameras that will work best in a low light situation..we broadcast in a low light environment and need the best quality footage I have seen other streams in low light and they look great.

Considering the Sony HDR-CX240E costs only £120.00 from Argos and you can set the resolution to 1920x1080P the quality is very good.

I and my customers use a lot of this card. Works very nice, for the money. In a few cases sensitive if the HDMI cable is of low quality, but we have used up to 10 meter cables from camera to card without any issues. For unknown reasons a couple of cards one of the HDMI inputs have died (after years of use). But in general I am very happy with them.

True, Direct show reports inputs as "analogue", but that is most likely bad programming in the driver. Does indeed provide Full HD (1920x1080) at 50p.

We have used them with a wide variety of cameras without andy problem. In other words, the quality you get if you hook the camera directly to a monitor, is the quality you get in vMix.

Hi!

I have a SC510N4 HDMI.

I need a good and reliable capture software.
A will in avi (Grass Valley codec) and mp4 capture.

My requirement:
- stable
- continuous feedback from recording
- big (or fullsreen) viewer window
- easy start stop button
(For Example like the Media Express by Black Magic.)

Do you have any ideas?
