We have experienced a strange problem a number of times recently:
- use vMix (currently 15.0.0.73) to record an interview for playout during a live stream - recording made as .ts - recording added to the show preset and checked to be working correctly - live programme begins (record to diak and external output) and progresses as normal until ...
- at some point the recording placed into preview - recording will not switch to live - neither with keyboard shortcut nor mouse click - any other input placed in preview will switch to live - try again with recording, no luck. - try other transition types, nothing will get it into live
Restart vMix and everything works fine, until the next time it doesn't.
Because it is an intermittent problem, I'm uncertain how to proceed.
Any suggestions appreciated ...

Martin - this seems like a bug. It happened again today. Something I didn't mention above but is now confirmed is that the problem arises when in and out points are set on the video. Clearing the in and out points today allowed the video to play, unfortunately including some pre-interview stuff that it would have been better hadn't gone out ...
Just to be annoying it's intermittent of course.

Hi,
Could you please try the following:
1. From vMix Settings go to the Decoders tab 2. In the FFMPEG section add *.ts to the list. For example *.mov,*.qt,*.mxf,*.ts 3. Restart vMix and see if the issue still occurs.
Regards,
Martin vMix

As far as I can tell up until now, this seems to have worked. Thank you Martin.
