I don't know what I am missing in setting up the audio in vMix. I am recording live video with the audio coming in the pc "Line In" jack as a separate input. I've set "line in" as audio for recording and it shows up in the meters in all the appropriate windows, i.e. input, output, master, and recording.
After stopping recording and saving as a .mpg-TS file, when I try to use the recorded file as an input to check its quality, there is no audio. No meters show with the input. However, if I play the same file via windows media player, it has the audio just like it should be.
I am running win 7 professional 64bit and have an Asus Z87-plus mb. I am using the Realtek audio manager to set up line in.
If I record in the same manner, except change the recorded file format to mpg, vMix sees the audio when I select this file as an input.
Has anyone else experienced this. I've been running ver 15.0.0.74 and just downloaded ver...78 which produced the same results.

Does vMix record a file that it can't play back? Can it record a file requiring an AC3 decoder without one installed? Seems strange to me.

Well color me surprised: installing the ac3 filter solved the playback problem. I certainly am surprised that vMix can record a file it can't playback. Somehow that still seems wrong. But I am happy with the program.
