I have a problem with playback after recording to disk in a lot of tested formats. I run the rendered files in VLC media player.

In Black Magic Media Express I´m able to record to disk with high quality, no frames dropped and no lag/chop what so ever with perfect smooth.

In vMix, the quality is good, but when I play the rendered .mp4/.avi file it´s not as smooth as recording in Media Exress. I can see some kind of blur when moving the camera from left to right, or down to up. It is like the field order is not right or something.. I don´t know.

My camera:
Canon Vixia HF G10, 1920x1080 50i

My computer:
i7 Quad Core 4790K 4Ghz
MSI Geforce GTX 960 2GB
16GB RAM
500GB SSD Samsung Disk

Input:
Capture: Blackmagic WDM Capture
Resolution: 1920x1080
System: 1920x1080
Input: HDMI
Video format: Tested various formats. No one is working as I want it to.
Deinterlacing: Blend

Recording setup:
Size: 1920x1080
System: PAL 50i or 25p
Resolution: 1920x1080
FPS: 50
Quality: Very fast encoding (3)
Codec: Decklink MJPEG Compressor
File format: AVI

I tested with no deinterlacing and the final result gets perfectly smooth but in preview and record screen I can see it is interlaced and that is not how it should be.

So how do I fix this?

Hi,

It looks like an old version of vMix is being used here.
Please upgrade to vMix 15 and select 50i when adding the camera, also in the settings and the recording.

Regards,

Martin

Can you post some footage showing the problem?

Also post your system specs and a log of CPU and GPU useage when you are recording. Also a screen shot of your recording config screen showing codec and bitrate. Without further info, my guess is that you hard drive is not fast enough for the bitrate you are trying to record at, or your CPU is struggling to handle the load.
