Hello together,

There's always the recommendation to go with same framerates on camera inputs, master framerate, livestream output, and so on. In vMix Help it says Master Framerate "should be set to match the frame rate of the Video Camera sources where possible."

So, in my situation I have camera inputs at 50p. I think it's not typical to stream in 50p, because it would need enormous bitrates and Iam also not sure if phones and tablets can deal with this framerate, especially in h.264 baseline profile?

So, what is best practice to stream in this situation? 30p or 25p? I would say 25p because it's the half of 50p and the system can easily drop every second frame? Is this true?

I did a lot of testing in the past and I got the impression that movements looks better in 30p on big screens (like my samsung 40" tv) where my camera inputs are at 50p. Mhh...

What are your experiences?

Regards,
Andreas.
