I used to be able to take a video directly from youtube and play it on Vmix using the flash input
paste the video link from youtube and done
but it is not possible anymore ...
i did think it was new version of vmix ...but i installed old copies of the software and it did not work either
i think it is youtube that prevent conexion from external aplications

any one knows why ? ... i really need to be able to do that

Yes I have just tried this and got the same result as you, does not work anymore.

I use Desktop Capture. This can be done either from the vMix computer or 2nd computer. From the 2nd computer the audio from the YouTube video can also be utilized.
This is the only way I've ever done this with YouTube videos and it works fine.

Hello!
I had the same problem and solved it by changing the link to the video. For example video link ''https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cr6Xz-KLQhs'' can not be played, but video link ''https://www.youtube.com/v/cr6Xz-KLQhs'' can be played.
Sorry for my broken English.

The method PRASS provided works great but you still have to click on the Youtube Play Button > , to play the video. I use the program "YTD" to download a Youtube videos I need to play so that I have the actual file and can now use vmix to have full control over control things like Auto Start on Transition, etc.

I have the same problem, i change the link with /v/dsjhksjds, i don`t know what i have do.
