got an error about: "Graphics hardware is not supported. DirectX9 compatible hardware required." This is on a Win8 Dell laptop with DirectX11. Any idea how to resolve as this crashes vMix frequently. Tried a few driver installs but it didn't resolve the issue. Am now looking at installing Win7 clean with drivers to re-test. Feedback is helpful. Thank You All. vMix_Bliss attached the following image(s): error.png (13kb) downloaded 1 time(s).You cannot view/download attachments. Try to login or register.

Recently had the same error message on a Windows 7 Ultimate machine. Reinstalling the AMD Radeon Software/Drivers fixed it for me.

I am unsure about current version compatibility but I know Intel Graphics on an i5 gave us a bunch of fits. Nvidia or AMD graphics are going to be better if your laptop has intel graphics. And i'll note that it needs to be discrete graphics, not onboard. Onboard nvidia or amd probably won't be an improvement.

You can run dxdiag.exe from the start screen search and see if the DX features are enabled for your display.
