Hi,

I have the Terratec G1 capture device, and it works to get video from my camera.
So, I bought another, to stream two cameras. However, this doesn't work.

My computer knows the two devices (Dutch, but you'll understand):

The audio is known under different names (5- and 6-)
The video is known under the same name (Terratec G1)

In vMix, the Terratec devices have the same name too.

Also in the detailed view, the same name, however, there I can rename them manually using the Edit button.

I edited the name.

So then I added device 1, and saw the preview correctly:

However, adding device 2 shows no preview, no image, not anything (also not an error):

Closing the input device via the Close button works for closing 1 input. However, vMix does not respond when trying to close the other input. The only way to proceed is to kill the program from task manager.

I'm quite sure it's because the devices have the same name. However, I don't want to buy another brand of device just to have a different name, as I have tried at least 3 different other brands before Terratec, and none have worked on my Windows 8.1 (driver issues).

Would it be possible to make a fix for this in vMix? I'm quite sure the devices have different internal IDs or something, because otherwise Windows would be confused too...

Your issue is like related to the device divers. I have successfully used multiple USB SD capture devices with vMix (specifically the Kworld USB DVD Maker 2.0) on a Windows 7 machine. Haven't tried it on Windows 8 or 8.1.

I've asked the support department of Terratec, so far no reply (but it's only the second business day).
Would you be able to try the Kworld device on windows 8.1 if you have it? That way I could order two of those.. Or are there other devices like it that anyone knows that work with win8.1?
