Looking for someone that has the ability to work with vMix API.
Summary:
Need an action in vMix that writes to an external xml file and sends command to server each time it is executed.
1. When recording is started the xml file is created. 2. Action= a. When the hot key or button is activated it will place an entry in xml with time stamp of current position in recording. b. When the hot key or button is activated it will send signal to server in real time 3. When recording is stopped the xml file will be finalized.
I can send additional details to anyone who may be interested or have the skills to make this happen. Send me a PM or reply to this post.
Thank you,
Joshua

Joshua, I'm pretty sure that what you ask for is not possible. (edited, missed the "not") The basic information vMix returns on API calls does not include any info on hot key or button activities.
Perhaps you can think differently. That is, an external program that can start and stop the recording, perform the "hot key or button" activities by telling vMix to do that (if needed shortcuts are available) and write the xml file accordingly.

Sounds good to me! It needs to be a very light weight application that the vMix controller can run alongside vMix. It doesn't necessarily need to be inside the vmix interface as you have pointed out. Do you have the experience to develop an app like this?

Not really, but I know a programmer who is helping me with other smart vMix add-ons. If you specify a and b in more detail (here, via PM or e-mail) I can ask him.
