Here is an overview of features in Instant Replay at the moment:
* Select up to 4 cameras for continuous recording on SSD including audio. Master audio also included.
* Recordings show up as two constantly updated inputs Replay A and Replay B. Pick any camera angle for each and use one or both just as you would any other input.
* Replay A and B are always synchronised together.
* Four Events Lists available. Using Mark In / Out / Auto functions will add an event to the currently open list. These events will default to what is happening live but you can also go back and create events that might have been missed.
* Add text descriptions to each camera angle of an event
* Play back single events, selected events or an entire events list with a single click. Customisable transitions available between each event, and an MP3 or WAV file can be used automatically as the audio.
* Quickly export single events to separate video files on demand. These are in the same high quality format as the source (MPEG-2 I-Frame) and should be supported by most video services for uploading (YouTube etc). There won't be any built in social media posting in version 1. But it should be quicker to pass the video file to someone else to handle that side of things anyway.
* Option to play back all camera angles of an event back to back.
* Slow motion control using the mouse scroll wheel or preset 25,50,75,100% buttons.
* Ctrl + Scroll Wheel to move frame by frame backwards or forwards through footage.
* Ability to play back footage in reverse and in reverse slow motion. Quickly toggle direction of playback using a shortcut.

Hi Martin,
Excellent work, sounds very promising and looks like most of the latest requests were considered.
When do you expect the first Replay-Beta to be ready for testing with your unpatient sports users? I have to figure out the handling of Replay A and B in our live environment because I have a little lack of imagination regarding this functionality at the moment.
Regards Karsten

Sounds fantastic.
Do you plan to have an API available for controlling features of the replay?

The new functions seem awesome! But I still find nothing about audio option on video delay in vMixHD. I might have missed that though.
Another great thing would be if the recording function for video delay can match the quality of the output but with twice (or more?) the frames. When playing back in slow motion (75%) the picture gets sluggish.

Martin, could you add 33% and 66% to the slow motion presets please?
I often find 50% too fast and with 25% it begins to stutter. I think that 33% is kind of a sweet spot.

I think we are all eager to test the Beta-version of the new Replay software. As a previous user said before, an API to allow automation for sequence of commands/controls would be very helpful.
Thanks,

The beta is almost ready with the control support the last step. There will be three ways to control Instant Replay 1. Mouse using the on screen interfaceScroll wheel controls speed by default, hold down CTRL to move back or forward one frame at a time or hold down ALT to move at 1 second intervals. 2. ShuttlePRO v2http://ergo.contour-desi...omic-mouse/shuttlepro-v2 Jog Dial - This is the outer spring loaded dial that can be moved left or right, decreasing or increasing the playback speed respectively. Shuttle Wheel - Move frame by frame backwards or forwards through a replay. Hold down the bottom left button to jump 1 second at a time instead. All other buttons will appear in the Shortcuts settings, so you can assign any existing functions to them. 3. Shortcuts ReplayStartRecording ReplayStopRecording ReplayMarkIn ReplayMarkOut ReplayMarkInOut - Set value to the number of previous seconds to mark in and out automatically ReplayACamera1 ReplayACamera2 ReplayACamera3 ReplayACamera4 ReplayBCamera1 ReplayBCamera2 ReplayBCamera3 ReplayBCamera4 ReplayLive - Switch mode to live so all mark points refer to the live cameras ReplayRecorded - Switch mode to recorded so you can go back and create mark points of events that may have been missed ReplaySelectEvents1 ReplaySelectEvents2 ReplaySelectEvents3 ReplaySelectEvents4 ReplayPlayEvent ReplayPlayEventToOutput ReplayPlayLastEvent ReplayPlayLastEventToOutput ReplayShowHide ReplayChangeDirection - Switch between forward and reverse playback ReplaySetLastEventText - Value can be the text to assign to a particular event ReplayPlayPause ReplayJumpFrames - Value can be positive or negative to indicate the number of frames to move back or forward ReplayChangeSpeed - From 0.1 to 1 for slow motion control If there are any other shortcuts you might need let me know. Regards, Martin vMix

I can't believe what I read here. Martin, you really listen to all the people here. This will be the base for a new level in (semi-)professional sports production.
