I need to find a remote machine to run Vmix, dont need any physical inputs via cards. only need to stream out playlists and may be rtmp inputs.

can some one help me please?

By what I get is that you need a Stream software and not vMix.

Something like Adobe Media Server, Red5... To receive 1 stream from the mix (on vMix) and forward to everyone.

To get how many people you can get online, we need to know the resolution, bitrate and your available bandwidth.

As I understand it, vmix needs some of the components included with Media Center. I don't believe Media Center is included in Windows Server nor is there an option for it so I would be a little surprised if it worked. Not to mention the lack of any sort of graphics capabilities on your server. Vmix REALLY needs an Nvidia or AMD graphics card.

As the other poster mentioned a simple streaming server might be better suited for your application? A simple one that I have experimented with and is perhaps easier than most others to deal with is mistserver. Also, VLC has streaming capabilities if what it is capable of suites you.

Hi friends,

Thanks for the replies.

The issue at hand is, I live in a place where the upload speed of the net is very low and its not stable. so having a in-house system with Vmix running which will stream the master output to a streaming server is near impossible.

So im searching for a way around to have the Vmix or any similar system on server, to which i can log in remotely and create the liner/ live playlist.

there are few services online which have a "playlist" option, but the playlist is a not a liner live playlist, the playlist act similar to youtube playlist, each video load separately in a playlist.

what i want is a playlist similar to normal television broadcast.

Thank you

Here are a couple of options for that:

http://www.dacast.com/video-hosting-manager/ (scroll down to "Playlist scheduler")

https://www.scaleengine.com/playlists
