Team,
I'm about to purchase an audio mixer to use as an input into my switch. I regularly need 4 XLR inputs, and I would like to be able to import the mixed via USB (if that is possible). Does anyone have experience with such a device? Positives and/or Negatives of your model? Any help would be great.

tnorell,
My general impression from personal experience and other forum memeber's posting is that most USB mixers work well with vMix. Search for the exact phrase "USB mixer" and you will find some comments.
Mainly it is a budget and/or brand question.

I use the Roland EX Capture USB interface which has two XLR inputs. It works brilliant with vmix.

You can use the behringer Xenix 1204 USB, it's a cost effective one ...

Agreed on the Behringer, works like a charm, the only issues I've had were driver related and making sure the 'flow' is going the right way (In vs Out)

I too use this one, but as Ice says, you can only use it as an input or an output, not both at the same time (Red toggle button is key here). Also, drivers in my case wasn't needed, I even tried using a USB On The Go cable to hook it up to my Android phone and it functions as a plug and play output, and the same goes for my Windows computer, unlike Ice's problems. Cheers, Håvard

With the Xenyx 1204 USB, how many input channels does the computer see? Is everything mixed down to 2 channels or can every input be a separate channel?
Thanks

@ Kelvin
It's a single stereo audio input in vMix. Hence, an external mixer, not an external controller.
