Over the past few weeks we have been working a few user interface tweaks to improve things in a couple of areas: 1. Changed T-Bar graphic to make it more recognisable 2. Added 3D divider between Preview/Program and Input row underneath This can be dragged up or down to add and remove rows dynamically. This means the Input Rows option in Settings is no longer needed and has been removed. 3. Input / Audio Mixer scrolling is now vertical only. Previously when only one row was in use the scrolling was horizontal. 4. REC/EXT/STREAM and SOLO indicators moved up next to Fullscreen button as there is no longer room next to the Program output when adding more rows. The following fixes are also in this release: * Improved performance when running a second display on some systems * Better handling when second display is unplugged These updates are available in the following download: http://www.vmixhd.com/download/vmix14.110.exeLet me know of any issues or bugs. Regards, Martin vMix

Quote:2. Quote:4. REC/EXT/STREAM and SOLO buttons moved up next to Fullscreen button Must be interpreting this wrongly Martin as I still see them at the bottom of the screen

Sorry I meant the indicator icons that used to appear underneath the main output.
If your input sizes are set to the smallest (208x156) you should be able to drag up to show three rows of inputs on a 1920x1080 screen.

Unfortunately, my low powered PC is unable to load for me to try out, so I am awaiting a trial license to try it out on a more powerful PC......Can't load because my graphics card does not handle the direct 3D output.
Is there a demo video, showing these improvements.....

I like the vertical scroll. Is there a way to jump to the next/previous row fast, without using the slider? (like clicking on the arrow on top or bottom of the slider) (my scrollwheel doesn't work in vMix)
There is no space anymore between the layout buttons and the external/stream etc. buttons. A little space (instead of the old horizontal slider) would be very nice.

My audio mixer is disapearing:
I think this has to do with the dual screen setup. When we set up the pc, the screens are sometimes changed: display 1 will become display 2. When I now tested the audio mixer and pressed the 'speaker' button, the audio mixer went off screen, to a non-existing screen. I had to change the settings in windows to find it back :)

Hi, I like the ' T' bar look, but I still wish it had the option to work it vertical, rather than horizontal, and staying in the position, either up or down as is in a traditional switcher... I like the vertical scrolling...great... Will put it to the test soon, and make further comments ....Still looking for a Control Surface as in Livestream, VJDirector, AVTake CutFour, and similar programs....really miss that feel and look... I found out that with my monitor resolution (1280x1024) version 110 shows only 5 inputs on a row and I need 6 visible inputs on a row. (I've got a 19" slide touchmonitor, not easy to replace for a widescreen) I suggest that vertical/horizontal slide will be an option.

Thanks Martin, I like these improvements. If you could move the menu bar to the top frame of the vMix window it would extent the space even more:

Hi Guys,
Could you please keep any new suggestions to the Feature Requests forum. This is primarily about any bug reports on the current updates.
Thanks,

I have an issue, do not know if it related to the version, but after about 20 mins., I lost all audio.....I am used to recording for sometimes over 3 hours continuously without any issues, but after the update to update to check the new interface, I got this issue....I will do some more checks to see if I accidentally changed something to cause it, but all I did was update.......any thoughts?
I also notice that I get a lot of drop frames..today, I got well over 450 frames dropped in a 2hour session..This is the same laptop I have been using for the past year, with earlier versions, without any problems...no new software, just vMix updates...
UPDATE.....I was just reading the log files that vMix writes with every clip, and noticed that the Frame Drop is due to Source Frame Rate, but I have always used 59.94i, or 29.97p, and never had any issues, with all settings the same.input the same as record...
I have just noticed that I get heavy drop frames when in record mode, If I try to add a new Title, the frame drop is very big, as much as 10 frames

1. New T-bar looks nice (and I sort of like that it's horizontal) 2. 3D divider ok, not very useful for our current setups - Preview & Output gets too small (1920x1280 monitors). 3. Seems OK (I have posted a somewhat related Feature request. 4. Indicators move OK (perhaps sligtly "off eyes") Hard for me to check out the two fixes (don't really know how to compare with how it was) Like Ittaidv I too have the problem with the Audio Mixer disappearing when detached. This happened first in Win8, when "Text and other items" is set to "Larger" in Window's Screen settings (on a 1920x1080 laoptop display, including when a second display is attached to the laptop). Set it to "Smaller" and the mixer window reappeared. On another PC running Win7 the mixer disappeared when I undocked it. Tried changing Window's resolution, adding a second monitor, setting Settings to default and Close the Preset. Never came back, had to revert to 14.106, to get the audio mixer back. Installed 14.110 again, and audio mixer was still missing. Back to 14.106 and it is back. Another issue, it is possible to completely (by mistake) remove the Audio mixer by detaching it and then close the Audio Mixer's window (instead of minimising it back in place). Then there is no way getting it back. No good I think. Perhaps disabling the "X" (for close Window)?

Bardos,
Sounds like some settings might be different perhaps a higher resolution selected than in the past. Note that not all settings will be migrated when changing versions so check something hasn't been changed.
Also note if you selected an interlaced frame rate in previous versions, select 29.97p in this version as that will be the same as what you have previously.
Richard,
When closing the audio mixer, you can always bring it back again by clicking the speaker icon in vMix. If the audio mixer goes missing, it is likely hidden somewhere, minimise the vMix window and all other applications and look around the desktop.

We still have problems with it. We use 2 screens, sometimes one is the right screen, the other one the left screen. When the audiopanel is undocked, it can be lost on a non' existant' screen when the screens have changed sides. would be cool to have a 'reset interface' button or something.

I have just done some testing and I can't recreate the missing audio mixer. It will always appear on any monitor connected, but may be hidden behind other windows. Usually if I cant see it I can minimise vMix and it will be there behind it.
Note that if you click the Speaker icon in vMix to green it will appear over the top.

Thanks for the video, I can recreate the issue now and I will put a check in vMix 15 to make sure an out of bounds audio mixer position is not used.

I believe that if is done the same way as 'Add Inputs, Overlay, Multicoder etc. is done, and always in a set position, but floating and always on top, then it can be always found when activated by clicking on the mixer icon....Just a thought..... Update: I just discovered something. I opened the 'Audio Mixer', and had it floating. I placed it under the inputs, as I have my input settings at 2 rows. When I click on anything on the GUI, it is hidden, and I have to use the taskbar to bring it back into view....would it not be a good thing to have it set to always on top, so that it is always visible, unless minimized...Just another thought....
