OK,
Not necessarily a vmix issue this one but it's causing much head scratching.

Installed the SC510 N4 SDI card tonight along with the vmix driver from Yuan. The card shows up in device manager but vmix only sees one input (#0).

First visit was to the device manager where the other 3 (#1 #2 #3) are all showing the yellow triangle with the Code 10 Device could not start message.

I disabled all inputs and then re-enabled in device manager and the first 3 started working. 3 cameras could be seen in vmix fine. Input #3 though would still not start.

Tried a reboot and it went back to square one. All inputs apart from #0 with yellow triangle again.

Has anyone seen this with their machine? Am I doing something stupid? I don't have access to machine just now as I've left our little studio for the evening.

OS is Windows 7 Pro 64-bit with Vmix V14.0.0.106

Yuan Vmix driver V YS 1.1.0.127.4

Any pointers would be gratefully received :)

Do you have other video capture drivers on you system? I have seen this behavior when there is a conflict. The solution is typically to remove the other drivers then re-install your current card drivers.

Ah good shout actually! I have an AverMedia HD Gamer capture card installed. I'll try removing them and removing the drivers.

Thanks :)

OK folks removed the Avermedia HDMI Gamer capture cards, uninstalled the drivers and application.
Still no joy. Only one input showing.

I disabled the Audio on my HD6950 Radeon though and got 3 channels working.

I'm stumped with this.

Is there any one out there had the same issue?

In case anyone is interested. I found a fix (of sorts)

I upped the RAM from 4Gb to 16Gb (was planning to do this anyway) and miraculously all four inputs showed up after the system came back up.

Go figure.............

well good to know.

there are many factors influincing stability of this card. one is windows updates. i have disabled automatic updates since i had many suprises starting up a recording and windows was updated in the background.

i now remove all drivers black magic aswell and reinstall them after a manual update of windows.

i alwas keep a local copy on my machines and in my dropbox synced with all my production machines, so i can do a quick reinstall in case.

then test and when all is well the yuan cards perform perfectly.

also:

i have mentioned to them that the list of youa drivers on their site gives some confusing info regarding the version numbers: the number reported was different from the number downloaded and i had received a different driver version (higher) than listed and downloaded.

maybe they fixed it already...

just you know: the devil can be in these details.

greetings , stefan
