I have set up 2 playlists.

Shortcuts have been setup for prePlaylistentry, nextplaylistentry, startplaylist, stopplaylist, all to input of PREVIEW.

But startplaylist goes straight to the output, not preview even though is has input = preview.

Is there preview a stopped plalist to either
1) add input and assign to a playlist
2) add shortcut to put a playlist into preview window

It looks like video lists only support videos, but can use next item.

And playlist can have any type of content, but there is no "previewPlist" plist name.

I was hoping that I could get the best of both. Have one "list" with all content types loaded into the preview window via shortcut, then next item based on content type (ppt, video, etc).

You can preview each input from the input without needing to run through the entire playlist. Do you have a business case for changing the default behaviour? I think what you are really asking for is a sheduling function. This has been addressed in a number of other threads. Please do a search for vSheduler on this forum.
