Hi Martin,

It would be worth looking into for the next release to include a way to snapshot individual inputs, or all inputs at the same time, via the GUI and the Shortcuts/API.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

At least on an individual input basis, you can already do this through the "Snapshot" shortcut:

UserPostedImage

The above shortcut would save the Active input to "C:\Users\Daniel\Pictures\vMixFreeze.png" each time F12 was pressed. Of course, the Input could be set to any of the inputs in vMix.

This is how the Snapshot function can be called through the API:

http://192.168.xxx.xxx:8088/API?Function=Snapshot&Input=yyy&Value=C:\Users\Daniel\Pictures\vMixFreeze.png (replace the "xxx" with the local IP of the vMix machine and "yyy" with either the input number or input key).

Ah, thank you DYosua very much. I had been looking at the documentation at http://www.vmixhd.com/he...utFunctionReference.html and the Snapshot function there only refers to a Value parameter for the filename. Good to know this other parameter exists.

Thanks!

After experimenting with it some more, while there is a dropdown for the input in the shortcut window, it does not appear to be implemented as part of the function. Even if the function is called with a different input selected via the shortcut (or an input specified through an API call), the resulting snapshot is always the Active window. If possible, having the input parameter implemented so other inputs that are not onscreen can be stilled would be helpful as well. Sorry for the misinformation!
