it seems not possible to save the settings of a ticker in a preset. text and layout are not saved.

i also find it hard to edit the ticker in the editer, maybe it's not possible to change something like the fonts and position at all. so i can not save text and layout on that level also.

maybe a point for improvement.

A limitation of the XAML format is it won't save while the animation is running.
So pause the ticker and it will save in the preset correctly.
