With Slash9.tv we just streamed our 20th event. We stream to livebeats.com.

Since Livebeats.com is a relatively new website, the organic traffic on this website is not so big. In the past we streamed on ustream and livestream.com and had a lot more viewers who just 'passed by' while browsing those websites. This resulted in a lot more views.

Since our bookings are going up, and since views are a very important factor for clients to hire us, we would like to step up the game and start streaming to more sites simultaniously.

Is there a software that we can run in our office, that accepts the rmtp stream from vmix and is able to distribute this stream over multiple websites?

We are currently streaming at 2mbit, and have a 150mbit down/ 10 mbit up internet connection in the office.

It would be nice if we could stream to our server in the office from vmix, and see the stream sent to ustream, livebeats and livestream.com simultaniously.

You can do this with Nginx RTMP plugin.

It is not a one click install setup but read the wiki and it is easy to configure.

If you're going to use the nginx plugin, be sure to test a lot, it can be a bit tricky to keep it stable I noticed

(if you 'only' have 10mbit up you can only split up to 4 external server i think, since you need some headroom

Yeah, i've been researching it a bit and it seems like a tricky solution indeed! Someone should just make a GUI version for it, it would be something that is widely used, it could even bring in some money I think ;)

it's not the gui i'm worried about
(i use it on servers that live at least 100 kms from me, so i use ssh to connect to them)

in my experiments sometimes it just stops accepting connections etc. and some ffmpeg background is very nice to have.

Looks like it is a bit above my experience level with code. I checked out some examples and they seemed logical to put together. If there is no other solution tho, I will try it with this..
