The Kona 3G loaded with the Quad firmware works with vMix as follows:
Analog - Not supported HDMI - Linked to SDI 1, Output Only SDI 1 - Input or Output SDI 2 - Input or Output SDI 3 - Input or Output SDI 4 - Input or Output
A single 4K Input or Output (not at the same time) is also supported on this card using all four SDI inputs.
All inputs and outputs must share the same size and frame rate. For more flexibility with different inputs and outputs I would recommend the newly released Kona 4.
Hope this helps.

No, it is more flexible in being able to input and output different formats at the same time, but as the name suggests only 4 separate streams can be done at the same time. 3 in 1 out or 4 in 0 out etc.
