Hi everyone,

We have been playing with RTMP/flash as video sources and ran into strange performance issues:

When you add 3 or more RTMP inputs, VMIX will start to lagg terribly. A quick look into CPU/memory usage showed that it was not CPU or RAM based issue.

We then used GPU-Z to monitor if the issue was due to the GPU, and we could figure out that GPU usage was low, but Video engine load skyrockets pretty fast. 35% per RTMP input..

We have tryed on a few Graphic cards (480 GTX, 670GTX and 770GTX) and came to the conclusion that even with a 770GTX we can't handle more than 4 RTMP streams without hitting 95% Video Engine load.
vMix versions tested: vMix11, vMix13 and vMix14
Also tryed to lower the input resolution down to 720 (instead of 1080)without any change in the Video engine load usage.


It's quite easy to reproduce, just add the same RTMP stream as 4 inputs..


This leads us to ask the 2 following questions:
- Is it normal behavior or a bug ?
- Does anyone have advices concerning the benefit of using Quadro/professional graphic cards in terms of "Video engine" performances ?

The same problem here. On three streams in 1080i50 exactly the same hangs occur. More or less well it works on 4-5 RTMP streams in 1920x1080 25p. We think this is due to IE FlashPlayer.
