Ive read several places that suggest how to do it, but right clicking doesnt seem to give me the menus

I have a start screen for the beginning of the stream and I just want to add a simple 5 minute countdown timer on the screen that I can activate
and at the same time play a simple music interlude in the back ground.

Not sure how to do it, nothing Ive read seems to have the options.

Not good a scripting yet.

thanks

@ w7psk

Add a "Trigger" to your Countdown Timer Input:
===> OnOverlayIn ===> Play ===> Input Y (where Y is your musical interlude Input, Audio must be ON)

This video might be helpful:

Well, I have gotten a timer to put on screen, but you have to create an input each time. Im dealing with very basic operators, so I need something like my Credits where they just click on the 1 to get over the start screen and then maybe at most a key press to get it going.

Anyone have one that they are using already ... maybe something in GT they did ?? I can add the audio later, that works ok.

Thanks

You don't have to create an input each time. Set it to 5 minutes once and reuse it. See the Title section in the Shortcut Function Reference (https://www.vmix.com/help29/ShortcutFunctionReference.html) for Countdown functions to use for shortcuts and triggers. If you describe exactly how you want it to behave, we can help.

Its a church I volunteer to help build the sunday service. I get the slides all put together in sequence and save it so they just have to load it and go. The head operator thought it would be nice if when they launch a stream to have the countdown timer start on the screen at the 5 minute mark.

Also some background music so that people watching wouldnt just stare at the opening stream. Im really at basic with VMIX but I have gotten some commands down and built a credits at the end. Ill read up on the reference and see how it goes. I like learning, but at 72 its a little harder than when I was younger.

Wish there was someone in the Everett Washington area that is very proficient in VMIX. I learn better by someone showing me and Me then doing. It sticks better.
