Hello,

I'm setting a profil (on Companion) for every day I use vMix to deal with every eventuality.

I've already set some buttons to put any input in any other with the DynamicInput1 as a source, DynamicInput2 as a destination. It's working correctly.
But I would like to set the position of the current layer I'm working on without having to create a position button for each input possible.
I thought that with "vmix: Layer - Position" action I could use DynamicInput2 as being the intended input. But it doesn't work.
Am I doing something wrong ?

Thanks. (Sorry if there are any mistakes, it's not my native language)

As far as I know, Layer - Position expects a fixed input rather than a dynamic variable, so using $(dynamicInput2) there won't work.

One possible workaround is to update the dynamic variable first and then use a custom action or trigger that references it, but I don't think the standard action currently resolves DynamicInput variables in that field.

I'd also be interested to know if anyone has found a cleaner solution, as it would make generic layer-control buttons much more flexible.
