Thanks: 6 times
At the sports event I just did last weekend, we got a lot of interest in selling short performances on USB keys. The pain was having to keep going into the Windows file system to copy out the 30-minute MP4 recordings to an SSD to take them to another laptop for editing.

Is there a better automated way to do this, so all recording files can be wrtten to a cloud drive or an external drive?

Thanks!

A couple of options:

1. You could setup a google drive folder to act like an additional hard drive on your current machine and export the files there and then access them from another computer. Assuming you are using vMix to webcast, I would be cautious of this method given the use of your internet bandwidth.

2. Use a NAS on your network and save the exports to the NAS and then access the NAS from another computer to do the editing.

Be sure to Test, Test, Test either method ahead of time before your next gig.

Good luck.
