Here's the setup: All the input shots used in my playlists are identical in 13 Presets created ahead of time, one for each week's stream, the only difference being lower third title graphics (names, etc). They are created to speed up pre-production for the vMix operator, so they don't have to edit the several titles used.

However, if a playlist in Preset #8, for example, needs to be edited to change input order or to add to or replace an input with a new input and then we want to USE this modified playlist in the REMAINING Presets #9 - 13, one has to then open each of the those Presets, one-by-one, and edit their playlist, doing the edits identically each time. Very time consuming and prone to error.

This feature request is to add an [Export Playlist] button to the Playlist gear/edit dialog to save the currently selected playlist XML in a Preset file to a new XML (a snippet) file. Then one can open another, existing Preset, go the the Playlist gear/edit dialog and click an [Import Playlist] button to load in the exported playlist snippet xml file, with, of course, a confirmation to either append to the existing playlist (if there is one) or overwrite the playlist.

If the Preset does not have input(s) matching those in the imported playlist, then the input(s) would be added to the Preset (similar to Append) when the playlist is imported.

@DAScott

I can't really solve the exact thing you're asking for — playlists are tied to the preset they're created in, so there's no native way to copy one between presets (which is exactly why your request makes sense).

But if the only difference across your 13 presets is the lower-third names, you can make that part dynamic and the whole problem kind of disappears: drive the titles from a Data Source instead of baking them into each preset. One row per week in a spreadsheet (Google Sheets, Excel or CSV), map your title fields to it in the Title Editor, and just pick the week's row before going live — the titles fill in automatically.

Then you only need one vMix file, and you only have to adjust your list once. Nothing to propagate across 13 presets anymore, because there's only one.

btw +1 on the export/import idea anyway, it'd still be handy.

Quick how-to if you want to try it:

1. Make a spreadsheet — one row per week, one column per name field, with the field names in the first row (e.g. Home, Away, Referee...).
2. In vMix: hamburger menu (bottom right) → Data Sources Manager → + (top left) → pick CSV / Excel / Google Sheets and point it at your file. Tick "Use first row as column names".
3. Right-click your Title → Title Editor → click a title field in the left column → Data Source in the top bar → choose your source, table and column. Repeat for each field.
4. Before each stream, open the Data Sources window and click that week's row — every mapped title updates at once.

Optional: map the DataSourceSelectRow shortcut to a key or Stream Deck button, so picking the week is a single press.
