I have 9 virtual PTZ angles built for each of 3 different PTZOptics cameras. I have shortcuts that link the Virtual PTZ inputs to a total of 27 different buttons on X-Keys.

I put one of the three cameras in Preview then call the Virtual PTZ input and it sets up the shot. I also have some individual PTZ direction control buttons (<,>, up down, zoom in, zoom out) to tweak the shot after it's called. The problem is when the shot is adjusted from the original preset, that TAKE or DISSOLVE calls the original PTZ Location, and jerks it back to the original on TAKE or DISSOLVE. ChatGPT suggests calling the preset straight out of the camera over VISCA using "PTZPresetRecall", and then just taking the base Cam 1, 2, or 3 instead of the virtual input. I can't find that command. are you aware of such a shortcut call?

Hi Curtis,

It's been a while since you posted this, but I thought I might reply in case anyone else is searching the same thing.

Blame AI for being stupid and repeating anything it reads. There is no vMix Shortcut named PTZPresetRecall. AI confused a bunch of different commands from other sources and attributed it to vMix, OBS and Wirecast.

Perhaps AI will get better but I doubt it. Only more misleading.

I think you have to send the Visca command yourself via a script. You should be able to make a UDP connection to the IP for that camera and send the command to the correct port and it should make the transition.

However, the preset must be in the camera and not in an external camera controller console because I don't know of any protocol for sending commands to a camera controller.

I suggest you try testing it with something like https://www.hw-group.com...e/hercules-setup-utility to create the packet you want to send so you'll be able to see what needs to be sent from the script.
