PEBKAC - Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair.
I was getting ready to call support when I finally stumbled onto the answer I had been looking for.
I have two ASIO devices we use that gives us redundant paths from between vMix and our Midas M32 mixer.
One stopped working a couple months ago and the other last week. The two devices are a Klark Teknik DN32-Live board in the M32 connected to the PC by a USB cable and a Behringer UMC204HD also connected to the PC by a USB cable but connected to a pair of AUX inputs on the M32.
A few months ago we lost the output from the DN32 though our input from the DN32 never missed a beat.
And instead of solving that problem right away I left it alone because the backup via the UMC204HD was still functional.
Last weekend though the other connection failed as well.
While I cannot say WHY those connections failed but not at the same time I suspect it's due to some changes in vMix.
What the failures turned out to be is that vMix no longer seems to be able to use the various non-ASIO drivers for output.
It is NOT made apparent that the proper ASIO driver for the Klark Teknik DN32-LIVE is the driver labeled "DN32-LIVE ASIO Driver" and that using the drivers labeled as "OUT 1-2 (2-KLARK TEKNIK DN32-LIVE)" (the numbers vary according to the channel pairs. Evidently those drivers while they did work for quite some time are not really the drivers I needed).
Likewise the "UMC ASIO Driver" it the correct driver for the UMC204HD and I shouldn't have been using the "Out 3-4 (3-Behringer UMC 204 HD)".
Setting both devices to the correct channels AND Drivers solved the problem. Windows or vMix put a hole in the support and made me realize I was using the wrong drivers.
