Hello I couldn't find any differences between FFMPEG - FFMPEG2 - FFMPEG6 in Vmix help or forum, and which one should be used in which cases. When I looked in FFmpeg forums, FFmpeg has much more advanced features, but I couldn't understand what kind of benefit this has for us in vmix. Can anyone help?

Hello, I'd also like to know the difference between the FFMPEG versions and whether they are standard versions of FFMPEG (v1, v2, v6) from https://www.ffmpeg.org/ or special versions adapted for vMix. We need to stream to a Microsoft Teams town hall via RTMP-IN. Microsoft explicitly recommends using FFMPEG6 from vMix in their Knowledge Base article at the very bottom, last sentence ( https://learn.microsoft....ms-encoder-configuration ). Thank you.

I could directly stream from vMix to MS Teams RTMP in (with default settings). No issues at all.

Hey Mavik, I testested that too. FFMPEG is working. I Just wanne know why there is no Ducumentation about the 3 Versiones of FFMPEG that vMix is using. And there must be a reason why Microsoft want us to use explicit FFMPEG6 with vMix and Teams twon hall. It's possible that Microsoft is referring to the problems with the update to the Nvidia driver from version 590 onwards. From this driver version onwards, there were issues with the Nvidia hardware encoder and vMix versions below 29.0.0.41 when using FFMPEG with the Nvidia hardware encoder. See here: https://www.vmix.com/kno...ia-drivers-590-or-higherThe solution was to use FFMPEG6 or to switch to vMix 29.0.0.41 or higher. I suspect that vMix modified the FFMPEG version in version 29.0.0.41 onwards, thus resolving the problem with the Nvidia driver from version 590 onwards, making the switch to FFMPEG6 unnecessary. However, I also suspect that FFMPEG6 is the newer version with new fixes from the changelog of the official FFMPEG version. https://ffmpeg.org/But I don't understand why the FFMPEG6 version or even a neewer Version (like v8 is not yet in vMix) isn't used as the default in vMix. best regards
