I have a strange one I think.
Using a stream deck, you can create a "Start Record" function when you press and hold a button. When the button is released, it can trigger the "Stop Recording" function.
I'd like to do this with a simple foot switch for a project but I cannot get vMix to recognise a press/hold of the switch to allow me to create the shortcut.
Would anyone know if this is possible? I bought a FS2007 USB Foot Switch from Amazon to try it out. I can only get it to duplicate a keyboard button. Example, I can tell it to duplicate what would happen if I pressed the space bar on the keyboard. This doesn't give me the option to have the press/hold to start and release to Stop a function, unless I'm missing something.

The foot switch has to support it first hand. To keep it simple you can "just" toggle the record. First press starts and second press stops it. You don't have to hold during the record.
