I am planning to use vMix to deliver 8 SRT output channels. Given that the vMix Pro license is limited to 4 SRT outputs, would running two Windows 10 virtual machines on a single server—each with its own vMix instance—be a viable solution? If not, are there alternative approaches you would recommend?

For 8 srt signals, I would use hardware encoders. Either 2x the 4-channel Matrox Edge or Haivision Makito X4. I assume that two powerful PCs with a vmix license would cost about the same. A cheaper solution would be 8 E1 Kiloview encoders and a good network switch. The advantage is that the encoders can be managed remotely, which is free of charge with Kiloview devices. An SRT Miniserver could be used for reception. Both have been tested in use.

Thank you for your support. With E1 kiloview, there is no more need for the vmix license, right? Originally Posted by: Peter1000 For 8 srt signals, I would use hardware encoders.
