Curious if anyone has faced similar roadblocks and what the options might be. We are currently putting presenters in Zoom and pulling cameras and shares into vMix with the Zoom for vMix plugin. However there is a limitation from Zoom in that only two shares can be rendered at a time. We need the ability to capture 4-6 shares ideally. We have tried the Zoom Room approach, but as Zoom Room creates full NDI feeds instead of NDI HX feeds, any system we run the Zoom Room on starts having the feeds choke as soon as a third NDI is assigned, no matter the resolution or framerate in use, and this is tested on a high end PC with a 5080, and a 10gb local connection.
Obviously we could use a hybrid approach where 2 shares are captured with the vMix plugin and 2 are captured in a Zoom Room, but this feels messy and inefficient, and with the number of people we have coming and going a PITA to manage.
So are there any alternatives out there to capturing 4-6 shares, ideally creating NDI HX feeds?

I'm curious about why your system chokes after 2 full NDI inputs (presuming they're around 100mbps - 150mbps each). Is that because of other data flowing through your network?

Is that because of other data flowing through your network? We have seen it improve with the capabilities of the pc in use, getting somewhat better on a system with a 5080 vs the MacBook. So it seems like it’s the zoom room software/backend choking, not the network or ndi transport. It’s definitely not vmix that’s having the issue, we can pull much more than that over ndi if we want to, at any given moment there’s 6-8 1080 ndi feeds available. It definitely seems like a Zoom issue, and although I’ve talked to someone at Zoom that says he’s pulled 12 ndi feeds with just a M1 Mac, he also says he hasn’t tried screen shares and that it wouldn’t surprise him if there was a limitation with shares.
