Replays appear very pixelated when LQ is selected - looked fine in v28 with same settings.

Hello everyone. I apologize for the lack of English, as I'm using the translator.
I just updated to the new version of Vmix 29 and I'm having an issue with the audio in some movies MKV. In some, the music and sound effects are very loud, but the dialogue is almost inaudible.
Also, in this version, I can no longer use the K-Lite codec to change the audio or subtitles in movies.
Has anyone else had this issue? Do you know of a solution or workaround?
Thank you very much in advance!

The default decoder for MKV files was changed in 29 to the built-in FFmpeg. This is because many of the handlers for this format, including in codec packs are notoriously unreliable and can even cause random crashes, so we obviously want to avoid that.
That said, if you want to take the risk, and go back to the Windows codecs for MKV decoding, simply remove the *.mkv extension from Settings -> Decoders -> FFmpeg

Can you please provide step by step instructions on how to replicate, as I did some tests just now changing the input that was assigned to a particular category, and that category stayed the same after the change, it did not revert back to default/grey.

Hmmm... You are right. The color of cog has not changed today. But I do remember that I met this problem before. Please give me some time to investigate this issue more thoroughly ... Thank you.

Thanks for the updates.
I am having an issue with the vMix Replay tagging drop down menu. It makes a drop down of all tags so far, but as far as I can see I can not write directly in the field to tag a clip. it ALLWAYS auto completes to something previously. I think this is a bug.
In our case we tag clips with X, XX, XXX or XXXX plus a descripter. If you tag the initial clip with XX Good throw, then want to tag a clip with XX only, it is imposible for it not to be XX Good throw as it auto completes.
Would be great to have the option to turn of the tag list function too. Not useful for all workflows.

We have just released an update to hopefully improve this in 29.0.0.40 What was happening is Windows would auto match the nearest entries when the dropdown was open, leading to certain text entered not updating properly. This should be better now.

I seem to have lost the ability to record multiple audio tracks (more than 3 stereo busses) to WAV files when recording. Previously I would record all the audio busses to WAV file, even though the mp4 file couldn't handle that many audio tracks. No problem, the wav file had all the audio tracks, and I edited in Davinci Resolve no problem. Now in 29, it just refuses to even create a WAV file if there are more than 6 audio tracks (3 stereo busses) because it says mp4 can't handle it. So now I get no audio recorded at all, whereas in 28 I would get audio recorded to a WAV file.

I have decided not to use winsdows 11 for vMix as yet...I am using windows 10 Enterprise LTSC, a version that comes without all the Blotware, and it works wonderful....no lot of updates that adds causes issues...a clean OS

I support your choice, and the logic behind it is sounds, but for what it's worth, I've been using vMix on my win11 machine for over a year, and have had zero issues. I'm not exactly sure what you're calling bloatware, but I honestly never see unexpected content on my box.

Then you should check up on it....search the net and you will see what I mean ... LTSC does not come with all those added unwanted software lik xbox, games and such things tha run in the backgeround and use up valuable resourses...has tighter security and it runs smoother... it is windows 10 for business and it is much lighter....go do a search on google or youtube and get a better understanding about it..
(Windows 10 LTSC (Long-Term Servicing Channel) is a special version of Windows 10 Enterprise for dedicated devices needing stability, offering long support (5-10 yrs) with no feature updates, excluding the Microsoft Store and bundled apps, ideal for critical systems)
