Using the work-around to automatically start a script when a preset is loaded, using a browser input and script start command via Curl. Had been working fine but now I have one desktop shortcut to a preset that just won't launch that script. I'd deleted the browser input that triggers it and recreated and still the same. Other desktop shortcuts seem to work fine to other presets with same auto script setup. Now, the only way that this particular preset will launch the startup script is when loading the preset from the "Open" dialog within vMix.
I'd love to have this specific instance solved but it also points to a general need that should be addressed in vMix to actually have a way to have vMix itself to do this with a check box in the scripting engine window for auto-start. It's a small feature that is sorely needed and such a simple thing not to have been accomplished in 29 versions is crazy.
In my startup-script I'm setting up all the various aspects of the program that should be preset but may have been overwritten by last user. And in addition to that, setting up internal variables that can be used in the main show script when started. Finally, updating a slate up with information about the show, title, date and time, and then putting that up in preview.
Any insight into this would be great but a more permanent fix would be even better.
Once again, it's not the script, it's launching it from a desktop shortcut to the preset versus loading the preset within vMix. (and, yes, I've recreated the shortcut, too).
Thank you,

So, this is not a bug. The method of trying to use a web browser input to launch a script is definitely not a supported scenario in vMix!
It is working inconsistently because scripts are loaded from a preset last, after all other inputs are loaded. Browser inputs are a bit different as they then launch a separate browser app behind the scenes, if this browser app loads the page very quickly (before all inputs are loaded) then there will be no scripts to run. On the other hand, if it is delayed slightly and happens to load the page after everything else, then the script will run.
The supported solution at this stage is to setup a shortcut to run the script and manually press that once everything is loaded. For automatic loading of scripts, please submit a feature request.

I have put in that request many times in the past as have others and we've never seen any movement on it. Thus the workaround.
How many up votes for a feature would be needed to have it considered?
