We are opening up a limited beta for our new software control panel called vDesk. vDesk is an alternative software control panel for vMix that provides a traditional video switcher layout. The software panel will be a digital version of a hardware control surface that we will be releasing in near future.

The vDesk beta will be limited to 10 licences. Participation in the beta is $75, which is 50% of the retail cost of vDesk when it is fully released. Participants will receive the beta software as well as the final version of the software when publicly released!

If you are interested in applying for the beta, fill out and email the following questions to Seth@TheCloudMediaGroup.com

1. Name
2. Email Address
3. Phone Number
4. Country, State/Province, City
5. Short Description of production setting (Sporting Events, House of Worship, Ect,)

We have 7 more open spots for the vDesk beta. When you email the form, also include your current version of vMix.

Hi ngtech,

There is a good chance that we will have this released for both Android, iPad as well as OSX in the Mac App Store!

No guarantees but it is looking good.

I watched the demo, and I like what I see....This is what I have been asking about for a long time....wish Martin and his team would build such to use with multiview setups...just simple just like this one....

I was on assignment a few weeks ago with a tricaster, and we had the director on the multiview screen doing all the switching, and another person on the main screen doing all the graphics, etc.....except that we used a hardware switcher......but I have seen the blackmagic in action a few times, and the operator just has a screen for the control surface, which is all sofware...and it looked comfortable to me.....

Thanks Bardos, I think should work perfectly for you. We are also looking at creating a version with audio control or a version that is only simple audio control. That way you could have an audio operator on a separate computer mixing audio.

Great idea,.....vMix is a great program, but these plugins will put it way ahead of its competitions...what would also be great, is a smaller version, 4 input, or one that adds inputs as are added in vMix....why I say this is very few persons use more that 4 inputs at any time, and scalable as well....with a limit of how small of course....this will help in desktop real estate...

We are looking now into porting this to OSX. How many users out there would be interested or would buy an Mac OSX version of the software?

We have had a few spots open up and now have 4 spots that are still open. It's not too late to get in on this software beta! The form to fill out is available on the first post. Email to Seth@TheCloudMediaGroup.com

I am very interested. I have a silly question. Since this is software generated, can the user add many more overlay buttons if desired? or more buttons for any section?

If the number of buttons can be increased (say add another row) then I could use a touch screen monitor (with a 2 or 3 monitor setup) to run vMix with this digital switcher.

Also can the buttons have names assigned to them?

Thanks,
Tim

Nice Work. Can you create an app for it with the same look for Android and Apple?

Natively this cannot be achieved at this point. However once the final version is released, we would be open to custom versions of the software on a order basis.
