Good day, reporting a fascinating bug. We have a PSD with 84 individual Text elements, divided into 6 artboards, each element named to match the final mapped external data source. The import is working. Artboards are importing as Layers. Elements are importing as expected. -However- the name of each element and artboard is 100% reversed.

Artboard 1 2 3 4 5 6 imports as 6 5 4 3 2 1.
Elements 1 2 3 ... 82 83 84 import as 84 83 82 ... 3 2 1

Layer 6 is actually Artboard 1 and its elements 84 83 82 81 are actually elements 1 2 3 4. it is just the names

** additional details, naming convention is more advance than 1..84. Artboards are x1..x6 and Elements are HL1..HL21 HD1.. AL1.. AD1..
the issue is a reversing in order of appearance, not based on the actual value.

Greatly appreciate your review and assistance. (this project development is stalled at this point. The final design call for over 200 elements and without the ability to match the final mapped external data source this isn't manageable)

Best regards,

Carl

Hi Carl,

In previous releases the import feature would re-number every numbered element to ensure there were no conflicts.
We have now just posted an update version 29.0.0.40 that will attempt to retain the original naming exactly as long as it is within the maximum length supported by GT and there are no duplicates.

Give it a go and see if it resolves the issue.

Regards,

Martin
