I got a 2025 Asus Z13 flow (32gb model) as a portable travel tabled at which it excels.
I then saw Tim's video abut running vMix on the older generation model with the Nvidia GPU and decided to test the new one, I'm fully aware its not a recommended unit for vMix and was very surprised with the results.
In default install state it wont stream via RTMP without the buffer full alert but increase the threads to 18 and it's rock solid (just finished some 4-5 hour test streams with zero issues (1080/50 @ 8000)
SRT is handled without effort as well but it wont stream H265 SRT without smears and tears at the destination.
I allocated 8 of the 32 gig Vram to the GPU and with 15 assorted video and graphic inputs / 1 SRT out to my restream cdn and a return SRT pull feed from there it sits happily with the CPU/GPU both pulling 11w, CPU load in Armoury crate is 10% and GPU load 30% - GPU and CPU temps sat steady at 46 DegC, battery will drop approx 15% per hour.
I know it cant use the hardware encode option for SRT but if I disable that option vMix just quits.
Overall I'm very surprised it even runs vMix given its component parts not being as required - leave it using H264 with hardware encone ticked however and it literally ticks along all day in virtual silence.
Testing continues.
